Beach Adventure

October 27, 2013

The boys had Fall Break last week. I was able to take the week off work, but not Sam, so the boys and I had a staycation. Not the kind where you stay at home and do all the fun things you would do if you were on vacation in your home town. No we had the kind of staycation where we stayed at home all week and stayed in our pajamas till lunch. It was great! We have all been really busy this fall with school and work, so a week at home was just we needed to recharge our batteries. I puttered around the house doing chores and making a real breakfast every day (can you say crepes!). The boys played Legos and “brothers” and only had to be separated a handful of times. We did get out of the house a few times to meet up with friends at the park or buy supplies for the boys’ halloween costumes, but mainly we hung out at home, snuggled, and played. It was all so perfectly mundane, that I have no pictures to show for our week.

But I do have more than enough photos from our trip to the beach yestereday. We went to Kehoe Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore.  It was a crisp, sunny day at our house, but the beach was quite foggy.

Being native northern Californians we are undetered by foggy weather at the beach and fell to our typical pastimes.

A much needed day at the beach after a relaxing week at home!
