Harvest Time!

Last weekend we went to the Ardenwood Harvest Festival.  The boys and I went last year and had such a fun time, that we had to go back this year with Sam. Ardenwood is a historic farm and for the Harvest Festival they have all kinds of old fashioned things to do. There is wool carding (one of my favorites), a working blacksmith forge (a hit with the boys), homemade ice cream (another hit with the boys), there is a small train, you can harvest corn and take it home to make popcorn or to decorate with, there are arts and crafts, I could go on. Here we are harvesting and shucking our corn:

To top it off there is a pumpkin patch right out side of the farm with a hay maze, a hay pyramid, and tons of pumpkins!

What a good way to have fun with the family. Here we are teaching Oliver the finer points of a photobomb:

Your boys are SO. CUTE. Goodness what a sweet family. The corn is so pretty – where is a picture of the wool?! 🙂

Thanks Hannah! The Harvest Festival is super fun. Have you ever been? No wool love for me this year, there is so much stuff to do that we didn’t have time for everything.
