Letterboxing with the Happy Trampers

My sister-in-law told us a while back about letterboxing. You get directions from a website  (we use this site) and go on an adventure to find a hidden “letterbox.” You make a stamp and bring your stamp and a notebook with you. The letterboxes have a notepad and a stamp in them too. Once you find the letterbox, you put your stamp in their notebook and their stamp in your notebook. We have gone on a few letterboxing trips over the past few years and they are always fun. Even if you don’t find the letterbox (or its been mistaken for trash and thrown away), we always find new places to explore. Today we went as a family to find one that took us on a little hike:

This is H’s first letterboxing adventure but he seems to be getting the hang of it:

    Wow!! It looks like you guys had so much fun! Maybe we can find some good letter-boxing in Hawaii?
