A week in old TV shows
Its been a long week around here with both kids getting sick one after the other. First up Oliver:
Oli and I spent a few days watching Nova and The Adventures of Tintin. These animated TV shows are short and true to the books. I’m pretty sure Oliver watched the whole series over the course of his convalescence. This is the first time he’s been home sick this year and it turns out you can get a lot done around the house with a sick six year old. I even had a chance to work on some fun crafty projects:
But then Henry succumbed. Here he is “smiling.”
Thank goodness for My Neighbor Totoro. This is a really sweet Japanese Anime style cartoon movie with creatures that only kids can see. We watched it everyday when we weren’t playing the slowest game of castle ever.
The week ended with the three of us snuggled up on the couch watching Thunderbirds, a 1960s TV series with marionettes involved in a secret organization called International Rescue. Very exciting stuff.
After watching Thunderbirds every other Sunday before dinner at my In-Laws house, I apparently have developed a Pavlovian need to drink Lillet and eat yummy cheese while listening to the theme song. It was a super sweet snuggle time with my two boys.
Thankfully, everyone is now back to health and we made good use of the beautiful long weekend to recover from our long week.

Lillet always works for me
I can blame my Pavlovian need to drink Lillet while watching the Thunderbirds on you then!
love that photo of oli looking tragically ill but so sweet
